Hi there! I’m Tabatha Mitchell, and I’m honored to be part of Dr. Lynne Hathaway’s team as she launches her very own veterinary practice. With over a decade of experience in veterinary medicine, I’ve spent the last three years working closely alongside Dr. Hathaway—and it’s been nothing short of inspiring. Her dedication, expertise, and genuine compassion have deeply influenced my journey, and I’m excited to continue learning and growing with her as we embark on this exciting new chapter together.
Experience
A Little About Me
With over ten years in veterinary medicine, I’ve had the opportunity to work across a range of clinical settings—from routine wellness visits to urgent care cases. Each experience has deepened my understanding of the importance of patience, empathy, and education—not just for our patients, but for the families who love them. One of the most unforgettable moments in my career involved a critically ill pup with very little hope. Through weeks of treatment, teamwork, and love, he pulled through and was able to return home to his family. That moment—and many others like it—remind me exactly why I chose this path.
I live in Rural Hall with my husband, Ryan, and our son, Easton, who fills our days with energy, laughter, and baseball games. We’re a family that’s always on the move—whether we’re heading out for a weekend getaway, casting lines at the lake, or exploring new trails with our dogs. Animals have always been part of my story. I grew up rescuing strays, caring for pets, and spending time outdoors. It felt only natural to turn that lifelong love into a career where I get to help animals every single day. I find joy in easing their fears, supporting families through tough times, and celebrating the happy ones right alongside them.
Our Pets
Our home wouldn’t be complete without our three incredible dogs, each with their own quirks and charm: • Hades – Our fiercely loyal German Shepherd who believes he’s the guardian of the universe. • Shocker – A goofy, adventurous Pit/Husky mix who’s always on the hunt for fun (and snacks). • Maleficent – A curious and high-energy Belgian Malinois who keeps us all on our toes. They’re part of every family adventure—from road trips to lazy afternoons—and they’re a big reason I’m so passionate about what I do.

Joining her as she opens her own practice is both an honor and an exciting new chapter.
