Cathu Ruch:
Proud Mother of Dr. Lynne Hathaway
Lynne’s Story Lynne is all about what’s best for an animal. She knows they are family to their owners, and she cares deeply for every patient she treats. She grew up watching, learning, and assisting on our family farm—dogs, cats, cows, horses—she was surrounded by animals from the start. When she was in 3rd grade, Lynne thought she might want to be a nurse. But the animals won her over. People can tell you how they feel and what hurts… animals can’t. She wanted to help them. So becoming a veterinarian was the clear choice. She worked hard in school, then researched colleges that would give her the education and experience she wanted. Delaware Valley became her choice, especially because of its affiliation with Purdue University. During school breaks, she worked at a clinic to gain hands‑on experience. Since graduation, working at different clinics along the way helped her grow her reputation as both a wonderful person and a skilled veterinarian. She values community and family. She believes in surrounding herself with people—not corporations. A huge thank‑you to everyone who has helped her along the way.
